“I grew up in NC and was initially a golfer. That changed the first time I went outside to climb 8 years ago at Pilot Mountain State Park in NC. I love climbing so much that I went on to become a climbing guide for the Adventure Program at ECU. Once I graduated, it was time for bigger mountains out west. Salt Lake City became the place I landed for the past 5 years. I’ve had a blast building skills in ski mountaineering, ice climbing, and improving my trad climbing on bigger objectives. Also skiing a TON of pow! I worked in-house at Petzl America for over 2 years before coming on board with Alta Group in July 2017. Beyond my Sport focused background, I have my S.P.R.A.T Level 1 Rope Access cert. I really enjoy the whole verticality world and how it relates to both the recreational climber, as well as the professional working at height. If it involves a helmet and harness, then I’m in!”

Justin: Yo Scott, what did the Sierra Mountain Guide trip report say on their last update?

Me: Looks like the ice is forming and hike is filled in and packed down so no need for show shoes… but a weird warming trend coming through…
