Matt Lewis

I was born and raised in Maine where my Dad introduced me to hiking, hunting, and fishing. I started climbing in the mid 90's at Cathedral Ledge in New Hampshire. A few years later I moved out west where I landed a job at the Mountain Shop in Portland, OR. My free time was spent tele-skiing on Mt. Hood and climbing at the local crags. After spending too many weekends driving to Smith Rock I decided to move to Central Oregon. Metolius Climbing was my next stop. I spent the majority of my 9 year career in production pouring holds and building cams with the last two as the NW sales representative.

My wife Cheryl and I currently reside in Bend, OR with our rat terrier Max. Our home is located about half way between the parking lot of Mount Bachelor and Smith Rock where some days it's a toss up deciding in which direction to go. Along with climbing, skiing, and mountain biking; I look forward to good beers and great wine.
